Arsenal: Daniel Ek to launch stunning £2bn+ takeover bid from KSE
Daniel Ek is staying true to his word and is set to launch another Arsenal takeover bid from KSE with an offer exceeding £2bn being prepared after seeing an initial £1.8bn offer rejected by the club’s current ownership.
Ek is not backing down. The Swedish billionaire has remained in the picture ever since his name first came to light in regards to a potential takeover amid the failed Super League scandal. At a time where potential outgoings and possible new arrivals are all supporters are focused on, the Spotify CEO wants even greater change.
A seemingly harmless tweet was put out ahead of the Gunners’ 1-0 home defeat to Everton last season, with supporters protesting pre-game over KSE’s involvement in joining the ESL. It turned out not to be a PR stunt insisting he would like to purchase the club, and his interest has yet to die.
KSE’s resolve was tested in May when Ek launched a bid of £1.8bn, an offer that was subsequently rejected by the Kroenke family who told him that they ‘didn’t need the money’.

Enlisting the backing of club legends Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira as part of his team, all three have since openly backed up Ek’s claim that he will continue to push for a takeover of the club he has supported since he was eight years old.
"“He’s definitely going to try again,” Vieira told the ITV Football Show. “He is going to be there for quite a long time. He’s a massive Arsenal fan and talking to him a couple of times his desire and his commitment to Arsenal football club will be fantastic.“And obviously, if the club is not for sale there is nothing that he can do. But he’s going to be there and he’s going to wait, and he wants to buy the club.”"
Staying true to his word, Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail has since revealed that sources close to the EK camp have disclosed that a second bid ‘north of £2bn’ is being prepared. It is hoped that an extra £300m will be enough to convince the American owners of selling up and that his side ‘are not going anywhere and want to get a deal done’.
Those inside the club are said to have been braced for this second bid.
It hasn’t required much convincing from the Swede’s part to get fans on board simply due to the hatred supporters already have for their current owners. Nonetheless, publicly stating his takeover would include fan ownership, representation at board level and a golden share for supporters has further encouraged disillusioned and disgruntled Gooners.
