1. Florian Neuhaus – Borussia Mönchengladbach

Florian Neuhaus would be the most expensive midfield target on this list. His talent, however, ensures that he is not overvalued, with his ceiling arguably the highest out of the other options on the list. Neuhaus would provide a level of technical quality in the Arsenal midfield that has not been seen in years.

He collects the ball smoothly from his defenders and goalkeepers. His technique and body shape is silky. Regardless of how hard the opposition is pressing him, he twists and turns calmly, breaking the press incredibly easily. One can only describe his play as Santi Cazorla-esque in who he evades challenges and thrives in tight spaces.

There are few players who have better ball control and dribbling ability. He would be an exceptional signing and a certain upgrade to the other options at the club, having been listed as a potential option earlier in the window. Still only 24, he has all the attributes to become a world-class player.

Thomas Partey’s injury has rattled Arsenal supporters. The lack of options to replace by and far the best midfielder at the club has left fans wondering how this will affect future transfer business. The need for upgrades on current options and depth in that area was already present but with this unfortunate development, the need for a new midfielder becomes even more pressing.

Next. Lautaro Martinez transfer blow. dark

Those who follow the journey of the club can only watch the news through their hands, hoping that the right target can be secured.
