Arsenal predicted lineup vs Tottenham: Lokonga & White?
Midfielders
Albert Sambi Lokonga (CM) – It’s what everyone wants to see and perhaps call it optimism, but Arteta may fancy it too.
Partey’s absence is a considerable blow and replacing him with Mohamed Elneny is the biggest drop off in class since Speed 2: Cruise Control. Sambi Lokonga has thoroughly impressed in pre-season so far and as a partnership with Granit Xhaka there is far more dynamism and flexibility.
Granit Xhaka (CM) – This obviously means the Swiss will be back in the fold and if these two combine well during their time together on Sunday then Arteta should be forced into using this duo in Partey’s absence.
Emile Smith Rowe (AM) – Anyone still lay in bed and night and think about Smith Rowe’s cannon of an effort that nearly broke the crossbar in the 2-1 win over Spurs last season? He probably does.
The No. 10 has looked sharp in pre-season and is most peoples’ prediction for ‘breakout star’, with there being little reason to doubt that.
