Arsenal predicted lineup vs Norwich: 4-2-3-1 with Tomiyasu?

Midfielders

Thomas Partey (CM) – While it’s a risk to start Partey having only just returned from an ankle injury, it’s an even greater risk to partner Maitland-Niles with Sambi Lokonga.

It will be hoped that the game is wrapped up by 60 minutes in which case Partey can come off, but until that point he needs to command the midfield area and find the forwards in positions of danger. Some zip and centrality urgently required.

Albert Sambi Lokonga (CM) – With two right-footed central midfielders it might be the more experienced who picks up the left side but given Sambi’s comfort playing there with Anderlecht, it could be him who lines up here.

He still has to work on his defensive awareness as he’s been guilty of losing runners, something his defensively astute partner may lend a helping hand in.

Nonetheless, Sambi is someone as a fan you’re excited to watch.

Martin Odegaard (AM) – Back at the Emirates for his second Premier League debut, all in the stadium barring those in yellow will be hoping for more than what they saw in the Etihad drubbing.

Starting that game well (for the seven minutes where it was a contest) everything fell apart for Odegaard and his teammates shortly after. He’s a player who needs to be in a team who have possession of the ball and when that is the case his talents can sing.
