Bukayo Saka (RW) – Saka was an unused substitute in this fixture last season when the stars aligned as Willian and Nicolas Pepe both put in brilliant performances. That won’t happen again. Obviously.

Saka got midweek off against Leeds and will be fit and firing to assume his place back in the starting lineup.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ST) – While the underlying metrics don’t suggest that Aubameyang is back to his (extremely lofty) best, he is looking more engaged than ever, and crucially, he’s finding the back of the net.

With seven goals and two assists in nine outings this season, including two in his last two, there is no way he’s not in the team. Arteta stuck with him through thick and thin last season and it is paying off.

Emile Smith Rowe (LW) – Not intended to start in the Leeds match, Smith Rowe was only drafted in to make up for Odegaard’s unexpected injury.

Fortunately he didn’t play the full match and with another weeks’ break after the Leicester meeting he should have no problem taking part from the start here.
