A move that would benefit Arsenal greatly, with the January window ten matches away from opening there is expected to be a fair amount of activity for Newcastle as they desperately aim to inject some quality into the squad.

Sead Kolasinac has been heavily linked with a move to Turkey in the event of a contract termination, and with the Magpies’ endless riches they could offer him a deal he may not be able to turn down, regardless of his desire to move back to Europe.

Not short of experience in the division, even if it would only be a short term deal Emery might want to call on some of his most trusted former men to help guide the Toon Army back up the table.

It would be most welcome.
