Midfielders

Thomas Partey (CM) – Having Partey get through the run of games he has without being injured is a godsend. His constant battle with injuries last season severely hampered Arsenal’s quest for European football and to have him back in the engine room is transformative.

There will be another outing for the midfielder before he jets off for another goalscoring extravaganza with Ghana.

Albert Sambi Lokonga (CM) – Will the temptation be there for Arteta to switch to a single pivot? Quite possibly. However, this run of matches is the perfect time for Sambi to grow his partnership with Partey and continue settling him into the Premier League.

His performances keep improving and every minute stood next to the 28-year-old will put him in good stead.

Martin Odegaard (AM) – This is where there could be some change. It would be strange to take Lacazette out of the team after his contributions, but because Arsenal will be expected to have lots of the ball against Watford it could prompt the manager to reinstate someone like Odegaard to help unpick locks against a deep-block.
