Arsenal player ratings vs Koge: 5-1 Champions League win
Forwards
Nikita Parris (RW) – 8/10 – Constantly on the move throughout, Parris was always looking for the run in behind the wing-back down the right hand side. Her movement stretched Koge and she played an important role throughout.
Some neat footwork won her the penalty, but her effort was at a good height for the keeper even if it was struck with some ferocity. She made up for it with a well taken strike with her last touch before being substituted.
Vivianne Miedema (ST) – 7/10 – Didn’t see as much of the ball as she would have liked with the Danish side’s setup constantly having two or three bodies guarding her centrally. Dropped deep to facilitate play in her usual fashion.
After the break she showed her quality with some divine touches and flicks. Was desperate to get on the scoresheet.
Caitlin Foord (LW) – 8/10 – With Arsenal focussing much of their play down the right in the first half, it was more balanced after the break which meant Catley could combine with Foord more effectively.
The Aussie kept the ball well and swung in a few dangerous deliveries and then showed composure to direct a header into the net to grab her first European goal for the club. Overall a very impressive night.
