Arsenal predicted lineup vs West Ham: Who replaces Aubameyang?
Forwards
Bukayo Saka (RW) – Looked like the superstar he is throughout the 3-0 win. This was Saka closer to the peak of his powers with devastating out-to-in runs, clever technical quality in wide areas and the vision to pick out his man in the box.
Saka hitting such heights consistently will elevate this team immeasurably.
Alexandre Lacazette (ST) – No Aubameyang. Indeed.
Known for ripping up the rulebook and going for the spectacular in big matches, Arteta might just this once stick with the team he’s played in both the two previous outings to try and build some momentum. It will also act as a timely reminder to the captain that he has his work cut out.
Gabriel Martinelli (LW) – The same team means no Smith Rowe, despite being fit and healthy to start.
Again, the manager will be looked for continuity and given how well Martinelli has played in his recent starts he may feel there is no need to rush his Hale End star back. Why not keep him on the bench and use him as a backup weapon? It’s a long season with rotation needed, therefore this could be the route Arteta goes down.
