Arsenal player ratings vs Leeds: Martinelli scores twice in 4-1 win

Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) – 8/10 – Had struggled at first to get into the game with him playing so high and wide looking to isolate Stuart Dallas, but when the play began being more varied he came alive and was superb in transitioning quickly towards goal.

Alexandre Lacazette (ST)  – 8/10 – Continued to find himself shooting chances but could not find the necessary finishing to to match it. However, once again he was brilliant in chasing loose balls and dropping off to fashion the spaces for Martinelli to run into.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) – 9/10 – In the hunt to find the best version of Martinelli we can, adding some ruthlessness in his finishing featured among the list of ideal qualities.

He’s bringing that, and all the others.

Two magnificent finishes albeit two entirely different goals, the confidence is coursing through his veins right now. He terrorised Leeds’ right side and poor Cody Drameh is having deja vu from the EFL Cup meeting. A never ending threat.
