Arsenal player ratings vs Norwich: Bukayo Saka nets brace in 5-0 win

Midfielders

Thomas Partey (CM) – 8/10 – This was more like it from Thomas Partey, although nobody is kidding themselves over how easy of an afternoon this was for him.

However, quality of opposition aside, the Ghanaian was more composed in possession and his passing was crisp throughout. Norwich couldn’t, or wouldn’t, get near him.

Granit Xhaka (CM) – 7/10 – Was obviously getting bored in this game and his eyes lit up when there was some pushing and shoving going on. He had to feed his hunger.

From a footballing point of view, Xhaka controlled the game with ease alongside Partey and played through the Norwich midfield with each pass forward.

Martin Odegaard (AM) – 9/10 – Magic Martin Odegaard.

It was fitting that Odegaard produced another dazzling performance on the former home of the player Arsenal made efforts to sign last summer, Emi Buendia.

Purring in central areas he ran the show with equal measures of silk and security. An absolute gem of a player.
