3. Barcelona

El estúpido club de fútbol.

Barcelona are a joke. It is beyond comprehension just how atrociously run they are. Plunging themselves into over £1bn worth of debt and then managing to let the best football player the world has ever seen leave for free is just the tip of the iceberg.

Begging players to take pay cuts in the summer and asking Lionel Messi to play for free, they then went out and signed 33-year-old Sergio Aguero on immense wages, Luuk De Jong not long after, and a whole bunch of other nonsensical deals because they do not have a clue what they are doing.

Oh, yeah, and this winter they got another loan and bought Ferran Torres for £55m. Because…of course they did. But what is it that stupid football clubs do? They do stupid things. Barcelona are the kings of it.

Losing Aguero to medically enforced retirement, Xavi is in need of strikers and their sights are set on a few targets this window. Aubameyang has been mooted as one of them and if anyone is foolish enough to spend money they don’t have on someone then this could be an opportunity for Arsenal, even if it’s a loan with some of his wages covered.

Stylistically, however, he does not suit Xavi football. It’s a long shot.

Barcelona likelihood: 4.5/10
