Arsenal predicted lineup vs Liverpool: White in midfield in 4-2-3-1?

Midfielders

Benjamin White (CM) – This might be the change.

There is every chance that Arteta opts for a 3-4-3 and drops Odegaard into central midfield, which wouldn’t come as a massive surprise since the additional central defender can solidify central areas, but having kept a back four in some capacity for a while now, he may be woe to change.

Sambi Lokonga (CM) – There wasn’t a great deal of ‘midfielder things’ for Sambi to do in the first leg as he effectively played as a fourth central defender in front of the other three, but he was nonetheless tidy in possession, disciplined, and fairly solid.

Having gone to Anfield previously and crumbled, it will have done him the world of good.

Martin Odegaard (AM) – For the attacking midfield slot Arteta might want to keep Odegaard in there over other options as he can drop off slightly into a deeper role to provide an out-ball for the midfielders. Also, his absence wasn’t injury related and he might be in the better condition between he and Smith Rowe.
