4. Whoever Scores First Will Win

Which side has the lowest points won after falling behind total across the entire league? Spoiler, it’s not Wolves.

It’s actually Arsenal.

That 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace where the Eagles came from 1-0 down to be leading 2-1 is the only occasion across the eight matches that Arsenal have been trailing where they’ve secured anything. That’s it, one point.

Luckily for them, Wolves are not far behind with their total of three points secured from losing positions coming in the form of a solitary victory: a remarkable 3-2 comeback win over Aston Vila despite being 2-0 down with ten minutes to go.

Other than that they are in the same boat as Arsenal. It’s hardly much surprise either considering they score so few goals, so when these sides meet recent history tells us that whoever gets their noses in front is in a commanding position to maintain it.

Given the lack of match sharpness for Arsenal it may be a case of going gung-ho in the opening exchanges with them running out of steam as the match progresses. If that is to be the case then they best find the back of the net with that rip-roaring start.
