2. A Chance for Arsenal to Give the Goal Difference a Boost

With Arsenal’s defensive stability and their lack of a goal scoring centre-forward it increases the chances of matches being won on small margins. Every game in February was won by a single goal advantage, and that trend may well continue into the remaining matches.

But there are some games where opportunities arise, even if ictory in any form will do for Arsenal on Sunday as all they need for the rest of the season is to match their closest rivals’ results in order to clinch top four.

Points will be dropped at some stage and the gap narrowed, therefore any superior goal difference could prove invaluable.

As it stands Arsenal are looking good in that department. Currently boasting an 11+ difference, United’s sits at +10, with Tottenham all the way down on +3.

It can effectively count as an extra point, and where better to boost it further than against a side who’ve conceded 31 goals in 13 home matches this season, the worst record in the entire Premier League? By comparison, Watford have conceded just 16 on the road in the same number of games.

Beggars can’t be choosers and a 1-0 win would be enough for Arsenal, but one can’t help feeling that there are goals to be had in this game for the visitors. The like of which could be pivotal come the final day.
