Midfielders
Albert Sambi Lokonga (CM) – While he was relatively tidy on the ball at St Mary’s, Sambi has to show more defensive aggression off the ball and must speed up his play when in possession.
Taking one, two or even three touches too many in the game, he won’t be afforded such luxuries at Stamford Bridge.
Granit Xhaka (CM) – Where Xhaka plays will depend on the game state. That’s how it works now.
Early doors there is a strong chance that he sits deeper with Sambi or tucks into left-back to cover for Nuno, but if Arsenal are trailing he’ll end up being an advanced No. 8 again or even move to a back three for more attacking players.
Martin Odegaard (AM) – Arsenal need more from the man who was their captain last time out. While this is a young team and Odegaard is still only 23 years old, he’s an established professional with bags of experience outside of the Premier League.
He’s been off the boil recently – and had a poor game here last season – so he needs to step it up.
