2. Bukayo Saka

The Arsenal team’s golden boy frequently finds himself on these lists of standout performers, such is his talent and ability that he consistently decides games.

Against a fragile Manchester United defense he wreaked havoc from the first whistle into the last.

He had Alex Telles’ number and drove at him with every opportunity. Cutting inside, going outside, getting shots on goal, Saka did everything. Experienced international footballers are being run ragged by a 20-year-old. His ability is frightening.

Saka’s intelligence was also on display, as it was his off-the-ball run that led to the penalty being awarded. As has been seen countless times this season, Saka’s trademark run from out to in is devastating to opposing defenders. The role of playing on the right of Arsenal’s attack is one of the most tactically demanding in the whole team and there is nobody around who can come close to fulfilling the duties like Saka. Nobody.

He has also dispelled any doubts about his penalty-taking abilities. Becoming a confident leader, in the past two matches he has been the first to grab the ball for the penalty, also having won both spot-kicks.

Having a player that has shown he can do it at the top level and also backs himself every time speaks to the mental strength of one of the best players in the league, especially after events in the previous summer.
