Perhaps something that is overlooked. But having players already used to the pace and rigours of Premier League football is something that will hold the team in good stead.

With any new signing arriving from another league, there is an adaptation time frame that they are given depending on the player, which can be a couple of weeks, a month, or more.

With Elneny, he has the experience and will not be found wanting, at least physically, with the league.

The rainy away days at Wolves, Brighton, or Southampton, will not be looked at as huge tasks to overcome; more like another opportunity to impress. As we know, away days against a team up for the fight with a raucous crowd behind them (*cough* St James’ Park *cough*) can cause serious problems.

He can simply be another cog in Mikel’s machine.
