It feels like Zinchenko has been on the block for quite some time now, yet he’s not even close to reaching his peak. The Ukrainian international’s just 25-years-old.

Thus, the maturity at which he’s played (the double yellow card at Tottenham in 2020 notwithstanding) throughout his City career has been remarkable. He plays way beyond his years.

So, the signing of Zinchenko aligns with Arteta’s vision of long-term growth and stability. Sure, he might cost Arsenal a pretty penny, but the versatile full-back could develop into an Arsenal stalwart and a key figure in the club’s rebuild.

The 25-year-old is yet to reach his apex, and you feel that his best is yet to come.
