While 2021/22 was a campaign of bittersweet promise, Arsenal are still a long way off from where they ultimately want to be.

The club took giant strides last season following back-to-back eighth-place finishes in the Premier League, but the disappointment of missing out on Champions League football is still simmering.

Arsenal’s stuttering end to the season manifested all the flaws within the squad, further highlighting the need for another big summer. But to loosen the purse strings, players must be sold.

In this piece, we’ll assess every member of Arsenal’s current squad and decide whether the club should keep, sell, or loan them out this summer.

Goalkeepers

Aaron Ramsdale – KEEP – The England international tailed off towards the end of the season, but there’s no doubting his status as next season’s number one.

Bernd Leno – LET GO – Leno performed pretty well when called upon last season, but it’s time for him to move on. The German deserves regular first-team football elsewhere.

Arthur Okonkwo – LOAN – Matt Turner is arriving and will likely back up Ramsdale. 20-year-old Okonkwo simply isn’t going to play and a loan would be great for his development.
