In Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, Arsenal are blessed with two of Europe’s most exciting young wide players. While Martinelli is relentless and in your face, there’s an unerring serenity surrounding Saka when he receives possession. He’s a baby-faced assassin.

These two are more than capable of leading the club’s rebuild, they’re that good, but competition is healthy, right? Nicolas Pepe will surely leave north London this summer which leaves Saka – unless Reiss Nelson stays – as the club’s only senior right-winger.

Martinelli, however, can play off the right, and we could see the Brazilian challenging Saka for a starting berth if the Gunners are successful in pursuing one of the several left-wingers they’ve been linked with so far.

The club could do with signing a high-output wide man if their reported striker plan proves to be true.
