4. Striker

We get it, everybody wants a striker.

Since Arteta took charge of the club in December 2019, he has had six windows to bolster his squad. Remarkably, the Spaniard is yet to sign a striker. But, that’ll surely change this summer.

The manager opted against bringing in a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang replacement in January which proved costly in the short-term, but Arteta now has the chance to land one of his preferred options that’ll stabilise the Gunners in the long run.

Eddie Nketiah’s new deal means Arsenal are reportedly set to bring in just one number nine this summer, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the club move for a pair of new forwards. A multitude of big names have been linked with a move to the Emirates, but each of the linked deals will be tricky to pull off.

Either way, expect a transformative arrival to sign for the club this summer. This is surely the most pressing need.
