With the tactical switch to the 4-3-3 last season, Granit Xhaka was forced into a more advanced role than he is usually tasked within a double pivot. While Xhaka did a solid job in that position, the role can very much be improved upon.

Arsenal has been heavily linked to Youri Tielemans in the last few months and, like Gabriel Jesus, this seems like a signing that is bound to happen. The Belgian is a quality on the ball midfielder but there remain some questions about his work rate off the ball and in transition. However, I think a technically gifted player like Tielemans can take Arsenal’s midfield up a level next season.
