Matchday 15 (05/11/2022) — 15:00 Chelsea v Arsenal
Matchday 16 (12/11/2022) — 15:00 Wolverhampton v Arsenal

Arsenal’s final Europa League group game arrives ahead of a London derby at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. The Gunners re-ignited their top-four bid towards the end of last season with a 4-2 victory in west London before eventually falling short.

Arteta’s side then take on Wolves away from home in what’s the final game before the Premier League grinds to a halt as the Qatari World Cup takes centre stage. Arsenal’s game at Molineux is currently scheduled for 12 November, nine days before the tournament gets underway.

Nevertheless, this pair of difficult clashes could have many Gooners welcoming the winter break.

After Bukayo Sako finally brings football home following 56 years of hurt by scoring the game-winning penalty in the shootout to sink Argentina at the Lusail Iconic Stadium on 18 December, he’ll be welcomed back as a hero by both Arsenal and West Ham supporters at the Emirates on Boxing Day.

Incredibly, the most unlikely event in the situation above is, without question, West Ham fans offering any sort of appreciation for the World Cup hero.

With the Premier League ditching an overwhelming festive period, Arsenal will only play once more before heading into 2023. A New Year’s Eve fixture against Brighton beckons. The Gunners have twice played the Seagulls at the Amex in December, drawing both.
