5 of Arsenal’s biggest fixtures in the 2022/23 Premier League season
By Adam Schultz
5. May 20 – Nottingham Forest (A)
This game is significant for various reasons. Given how tight the race for the top four was last season, Arsenal was again playing away from home against Newcastle. We all know how that went.
The Gunners again face a tricky away trip to the newly promoted Nottingham Forest at the end of the season. By the time this match comes around, a lot will have happened, but it still presents a banana skin type game for Arsenal when they need to be banking three points.
With just two games to go in the season, this matchup will be seriously tough. The home side could either be fighting for survival, which makes them dangerous, or it will be like Newcastle last season. A raucous crowd wanting to see a performance for the final home game of the season from Steve Cooper’s men.
Either way, it will be a testing time for Arteta’s men, especially if circumstances are similar to last season and anything other than a win will be needed. It will be a tough outing for the Gunners.
