Ranking the 5 best Arsenal full-backs of all-time

While the other names on this part of our list can be seen fairly as either left or right-backs, Laurén was, during his playing career, both. Not only was he capable of playing both positions, as well as higher up the pitch as a right wing-back, but he was proficient wherever he was on the pitch.

In this way, while he’s number four on this list, he could rightly be considered the best all-purpose full-back in the club’s history.

The player, however, more similar to Ashely Cole, was not as long-term a Gunner as numbers two and three on this list, but he nonetheless provided remarkable memories and moments for the club during some of the least forgettable seasons in the team’s entire history; while I state, that, he played more games for Arsenal than for any team before or after.

His nine goals and six assists, along with the absolute mass of yellow cards, tell a story of a physical player who possessed technical abilities as well. For, after all, he’s an Invincible, a legend, and a champion for multiple different outfits, while contributing so vigorously across the pitch for his club and country.
