Arsenal could yet make a big splash out wide in the transfer market, but Arsenal’s new #11 is currently poised to compete with Emile Smith Rowe for minutes down the Gunners’ left.

Martinelli enjoyed his most productive Premier League campaign yet last season, notching 13 goal contributions on his way to a 110-point FPL haul. However, he must develop some consistency. Many of those contributions came in destructive bursts.

Nevertheless, many are backing the Brazilian to build on his 2021/22 campaign which means that he could be a useful option for FPL users at £6.0m. Martinelli is an excellent ball-striker, and there’s no doubting that his output could soar once again next season.

Compared to others in his price range – a list that includes Rodri, Jorginho, Lucas Moura, and Joelinton – Martinelli, along with Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes, appear to be the most valuable options.
