2. Zinchenko solid in debut

Somewhat of a surprise to many that the Ukrainian was handed a start after only signing with the club a couple of days ago, but he was more than serviceable from his left-back spot.

He was neat on the ball and got forward well. He linked up superbly with Martinelli on several occasions, and although he didn’t have much to do defensively, it was dealt with swiftly when he did.

An excellent pick-up and he essentially locked down the left-hand side for the Gunners and was always available as an outlet. His raking cross-field pass for Saka was a sight to behold.

It became clear that the starting XI that Arteta chose will likely be the same one he goes against Crystal Palace in a couple of weeks.
