James – How about this for a bold prediction: Julian Alvarez will score more Premier League goals next season than Erling Haaland. I love Alvarez and believe he’ll quickly become a favourite of Guardiola’s.

Adam – Conor Gallagher. We saw what he was capable of last season with Crystal Palace and now he should get his chance for Thomas Tuchel’s side. The midfielder has all the necessary weapons at his disposal to succeed and I expect him to become a star this upcoming campaign.

Kenneth – Cameron Archer. Archer enjoyed a successful loan spell at Preston during the second half of last season and impressed manager Steven Gerrard with a couple of goals on Aston Villa’s pre-season tour of Australia. The presence of Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings may hinder his opportunities next season, but his exploits up front have impressed his coaches and an injury to the often side-lined Ings could provide a pathway into the first team.

Mitch – Jack Grealish. Not exactly a breakout but a prove-it season. He’s had a year in Pep’s system to get it down and after a solid first year, I think he’ll explode output-wise. Haaland’s addition will help a lot and I’m excited to see what he does this year.

Trent – William Saliba could very well transform Arsenal at the heart of the defence.
