Arsenal 4-2 Leicester City: 4 talking points as Gabriel Jesus shines again

4. Martinelli the magnificent
Martinelli has started the year as he ended last season: scoring goals. The winger has scored in three consecutive games after his strike against Everton last year and then with goals against Palace and Leicester.
He was close to being named Man of the Match, but Jesus was on another level. The 21-year-old seems to be coming of age before our eyes and, my word, it is excellent viewing.

His pace, energy, tenacity, and willingness to constantly harass opponents and close them down make him a nightmare to face. That is without even mentioning his skills and superb finishing ability, either.
His finish against Leicester capped off another impressive display, and the strike with his weaker foot across Ward’s goal was clinical.
At just 21, Martinelli could potentially rival Bukayo Saka by the season’s end, and that is something in itself. Such is his current form – along with Jesus – Arsenal are not relying on Saka, which can only be a good thing.
