Arsenal is aiming for three consecutive wins to start the Premier League season as they look to continue their blistering run.

Here we sit, two wins from two, with the chance to make it three as the Gunners travel to face a Bournemouth side fresh off a 4-0 thumping at the hands of Manchester City.

The home side did show its quality against Aston Villa on opening day, winning 2-0 thanks to goals to Jefferson Lerma and Kieffer Moore.

But for Arsenal, if they are to become the team that many think this season is a top four side, they should be going to the Vitality Stadium and banking another three points.

The Gunners have been irresistible so far this season. The performance away at Crystal Palace showed the team’s growth, but also we saw that there is still work to be done as the home side was unlucky not to score in the first half through Eberechi Eze, but Aaron Ramsdale denied him from close range.

That result buoyed us after an offseason that promised so much, and the team delivered. Then came the first home game of the year against a Leicester City side with so much quality.

Again, Arsenal flexed their muscles and was comfortably up 2-0 at halftime, thanks to a Gabriel Jesus double. The second half was a little nod to the Arsenal of old as the game was well within hand, but a few individual errors twice allowed the Foxes back into the game.

But this new Gunners side slammed the door shut as quickly as it opened and finished with a nice 4-2 win.

That brings us to Bournemouth. Much like Crystal Palace, the home side can be menacing at home. The Cherries have not beaten Arsenal since 2018 and have lost two and drawn one in their last three games at home.

It will not be easy for the Gunners as the home side will look to atone for their poor performance against City, but if the club is to be what Arteta wants, this should be three points.

Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are in top form, while the defense, spearheaded by William Saliba, has been stout despite conceding twice last week.

It shapes up as another test for Mikel Arteta’s side, but it is one that they have proven they can cope with. It is all about doing on the pitch now.
