Positive #2: William Saliba (again)

I feel like he’s becoming a pattern in this column. He was on the wrong side last week but only because there wasn’t a lot to be negative about. There was a lot to be positive about here.

He, quite literally, did not put a foot wrong in the match. He was fantastic in defence and completed every single one of his passes which is fantastic. And, of course, the goal, what a goal. Just an amazing curler into the top corner with the fans singing his name throughout, amazing.

Negative #2: No Fabio Vieira

Not a lot to be negative about in the match so I’ll mention that it was disappointing not to see a Fabio Vieira debut off the bench today.

It was his first time in the matchday squad and a lot of fans, including myself, were hopeful that we’d get a glimpse of what’s to come with the young midfielder.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait for next week against Fulham to (perhaps) see his first team debut. I’m excited for when it does happen.
