3 reasons why Pedro Neto would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal

3. Neto provides great versatility
As we have seen with every signing Mikel Arteta has made this summer, versatility is a prerequisite. Gabriel Jesus can play anywhere across the front three, while Zinchenko operates as a left-back when defending but then takes up a more advanced midfield position when the Gunners are in possession.

Neto offers the same flexibility. He is equally adept at playing anywhere across the front three, making him the ideal player for Arteta’s system. Usually deployed on the left flank, Neto is just as dangerous on the right and through the middle.
He possesses excellent technical skills – which is a must for a Mikel Arteta-style player – pace, and supreme agility that can see him effortlessly glide past opposing defenders and into dangerous positions. The 22-year-old was a destructive outlet before he suffered a freak knee injury, but the early signs suggest he hasn’t lost any of the explosivity that made him so special.
