Positive #3: Majestic Martin

The captain was absolutely superb on Saturday evening. So much of Ødegaard’s strengths come from just controlling the tempo and the energy of matches and he was at his best in this one.

He is always involved in the game but when he has the freedom to do what he did in this match, we get to see why Real Madrid recruited him at 15. He’s a joy to watch every week but if the captain can continue with these kinds of performances, he can be one of the best in the league.

Also, three goals in two games!! Martin has found his shooting boots and I hope that he continues to take these opportunities because it will add a whole new dimension to his game.

Negative #3: Celebration Police

NEE NOR, NEE N0R, the celebration police are out in full force (again)!

Why are you even watching if you don’t celebrate your team winning, especially from a losing position? Getting to celebrate a win is what makes sport amazing and getting mad at match-going fans for supporting their club and being happy after a win is strange behaviour that should make someone re-evaluate why they ‘love’ the sport.

All in all, a wonderful win by Arsenal, and some honourable mentions to William Saliba and Ben White who were both terrific. Hopefully, we can get our guys back for Villa in midweek but especially for United next weekend.

We’re top of the league!
