Blackstenius and Mead blitz Brighton

These two were pushing for goals the entire match, and there’s a reason that they’ll grab the headlines after opening day. Mead was the top scorer at the Euros and clearly is not showing signs of stopping with two goals today.

Blackstenius was through on goal early and got tripped to put Brighton down to ten on the pitch and got her goal in the second half that she very much deserved. These two, along with Miedema and Foord, will be very tough to stop in the WSL this season.

It is a great start to the WSL season for Arsenal as they sit atop the table like their male counterparts in the Premier League. I look forward to catching as many matches as possible and covering these games.
