3 positives and… positives from Arsenal’s emphatic win over Brentford
No, that’s not a typo.
I’m feeling in a bit of an extra positive mood after Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Brentford that I’d rather write about six positives. Who’s got time for negativity after a performance like that!?
6 positives from Arsenal’s emphatic 3-0 win over Brentford
It’s always more fun anyway to talk about the good stuff, and here are my positives from the win.
Positive #1: Granit Xhaka
Granit Xhaka produced a Man of the Match-worthy display on Sunday as he flexed his muscles once again in a box-to-box role.
His assist to Gabriel Jesus for the second goal was immaculate and he got through some good work on the defensive side of the ball as well. It’s been awesome to see him flourish and especially how much his relationship with the fans has grown.
His situation at Arsenal was dire a few years ago, but supporters are now singing his name in unison.

Positive #2: William Saliba
Another fantastic performance from William Saliba and, man, we’re lucky to have him. We’re already running out of superlatives to describe his talent.
His header for the opening goal was fantastic. He’s formidable in defence, not letting the very dangerous Ivan Toney have a look at goal throughout the match. He’s also downright arrogant on the ball, too, and as a spectator, you never feel nervous when he has it because he plays like a ten-year veteran, not a 21-year-old.
