3. Can William Saliba become a starter for France?

Saliba has perhaps been the best Arsenal defender and by some way this season. He has bolstered an improving Gunners defence and now it’s time for him to force his way into France’s starting XI.

Les Bleus are blessed with an array of centre-back talent and picking a pairing will be no easy task for Didier Deschamps. Saliba, though, has arguably been the most impressive performer out of Deschamps’ current options this season.

Saliba will likely see game time over the September break, and it presents a chance for him to stake a claim for a starting role at the World Cup. Given how he has started for Arsenal this season, you would not put it past him.
