Arsenal’s Europa League group stage campaign continues on Thursday evening as they make the trip north to the Arctic Circle for the reverse fixture against FK Bodø/Glimt.

The Gunners brushed aside the Norwegian outfit at the Emirates last time out to usurp Kjetil Knutsen’s side at the top of Group A. Goals from Eddie Nketiah, Rob Holding and Fabio Vieira saw the hosts run out comfortable 3-0 victors.

They continued their winning momentum at the weekend with a memorable 3-2 triumph over Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, with the manager poised to make a multitude of changes to the starting XI for the upcoming clash.

Bodø/Glimt, meanwhile, were victorious in the league at the weekend as they thumped Sandefjord 4-1 on Sunday.

Bodø/Glimt Team News

Knutsen shouldn’t have any fresh injury concerns heading into Thursday’s home bout. Midfielder Sondre Fet remains out.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Bodø/Glimt boss name the same starting XI from last Thursday despite their 3-0 defeat.

Arsenal Team News

Mikel Arteta will once again heavily rotate his side from the weekend for this midweek clash. We should see a similar starting XI to the one that played at the Emirates last Thursday.

Granit Xhaka could keep his place in midfield, while Reiss Nelson and Cedric Soares are in contention to make their first starts of the season.

We saw what Bodø/Glimt are all about last Thursday. Despite the hosts pressing them into oblivion, they insisted on playing out from the back – often to their detriment.

I thought it was naive of Knutsen to expect his side to be successful playing this way given the Gunners’ efficacy out of possession, and he’d be wise to oversee a more direct approach on home soil this time around.

The Norwegian champions showed glimpses at the Emirates last time out, and there’s no doubt that this will be a tougher contest for Arteta’s side. However, I’d be surprised if they didn’t maintain their 100% start to the group stage.

Prediction: Bodø/Glimt 1-2 Arsenal
