2. VAR does its thing… finally

The 1-0 win for the Gunners could have been vastly different had it not been for VAR. In stoppage time, Gabriel got into a tussle with Patrick Bamford, and he appeared to kick out at the Leeds striker, who went down in the area. Referee Chris Kavanagh pointed to the spot and gave Gabriel a straight red card.

However, upon looking at the replays, it was clear there wasn’t even a foul on Bamford. Arsenal got lucky, no doubt, as Gabriel again got himself into strife, something that he needs to get a handle on as this little incident could have cost his side three points.
