Bukayo Saka’s excellent run of form continued on Thursday.

Such has been Arsenal’s success this season that fans have begun to question the performances of the likes of Saka. How dreary. For a player who has been criticised as getting off to a slow start, both his tangible and intangible contributions have been crucial to the strong start to the season.

The fear he puts into defenders is visible. His dribbling and his underrated strength are invaluable to getting Arsenal up the pitch. Add to that his ability to cut inside and combine/shoot or work his way to the byline and you have a world-class winger.

Saka was constantly getting on the ball and attacking PSV’s left-back, scarcely giving him a second to breathe. His efficiency in front of goal can certainly be improved but this is a minor footnote in an otherwise impressive and incredibly well-rounded package.
