Arsenal travel to take on Southampton fresh after their 1-0 win over PSV in the Europa League.

The games continue to come thick and fast, with the Gunners again in league action on Sunday. Facing a Southampton side that is currently dealing with its fair share of injury worries, the Gunners have no such thing.

Currently a point clear of Manchester City in second after their victory over Brighton, Arsenal again have a chance to put down a marker early in the season. With Chelsea and Manchester United facing off against each other on Saturday, the Gunners could increase their lead over both.

Here are three things to look out for at St. Mary’s on Sunday.

1. Can Arsenal improve their record against the Saints?

Playing Southampton hasn’t been the Gunners’ strong suit in recent years. In the last five games, Arsenal have only won twice. Last season each team boasted a win, both coming when at home.

With the Saints only winning three of their 11 games so far, there again, like the Leeds game, is a chance to rubber-stamp their fine start to the campaign, although it will be tough.
