Bukayo Saka (RW) – 6/10 – Rob Jones did little to aid Saka in this one. The England international was a distinct threat in the opening period. Struggled to have any impact after the restart.

Gabriel Jesus (ST) – 6/10 – The Brazilian missed a couple of glorious openings which surely would’ve put the contest beyond Southampton. Manhandled by Duje Caleta-Car throughout and was rarely (if ever) given any assistance by the referee.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) – 6/10 – A typically energetic showing from Martinelli, who wreaked havoc along with his left-sided companions in the opening stages. Withdrawn after the hosts equalised.

Substitutes

Eddie Nketiah – 5/10

Kieran Tierney – 6/10

Fabio Vieira – 5/10
