Arsenal are again in midweek action as they travel to face PSV coming off a 1-1 draw away to Southampton at the weekend.

The grind of October is starting to take its toll on Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal. Having played seven games already in the month, the Gunners have another two games in quick succession.

After narrowly defeating PSV last week at the Emirates, the Gunners now travel to Eindhoven to face a side desperate to end their sliding run of back-to-back defeats. Coming off a 4-2 loss to Groningen at the weekend, Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s team will want to take a scalp to get their season back on track.

There will be plenty to look for in this one. Here are three for Thursday’s game.

1. Mikel Arteta’s team selection

This is perhaps Mikel Arteta’s biggest team selection of the year. Does he rest and rotate as he did early in the competition? Or does he pick a strong team to potentially win the group with a game to spare?

Doing so will then leave Arsenal’s last Europa League game against FC Zurich as a dead rubber and nearly all of the first teamers will be handed a rest ahead of the trip to Chelsea.
