PSV 2-0 Arsenal: Player ratings as the Gunners are beaten in Eindhoven

Sambi Lokonga (DM) – 5.5/10 – Arteta challenged Lokonga ahead of the game to prove his worth, but he failed to do so. The Belgian had a couple of nice moments, but he remains defensively naive. Veerman ran off him for PSV’s opener.

Granit Xhaka (CM) – 5.5/10 – Xhaka was due a poor game. The Swiss midfielder was uncharacteristically sloppy with the ball, and he struggled to impact proceedings in the final third.

Martin Odegaard (CM) – 5.5/10 – The skipper made a couple of selfless runs without the ball, but he had little to no impact in possession before he was withdrawn before the hour.
