Fabio Vieira (RW) – 6.5/10 – Wasn’t convinced by his utilisation out wide considering Tomiyasu’s presence at right-back (no overlaps), but Arsenal did a great job of creating space for Vieira and he enjoyed the freedom. Thought this was an encouraging display from the summer signing despite the result.

Eddie Nketiah (ST) – 4/10 – Nketiah’s performances are declining in quality by the week. The Englishman struggled to retain the ball under pressure throughout as the PSV defence comfortably dealt with the ‘threat’ he posed.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) – 4/10 – Martinelli was dire. The Brazilian’s showing was unusually devoid of any energy and he was seemingly in a constant battle to merely control the ball every time he received possession. Spurned Arsenal’s best chance in the first half.
