2. Is fixture congestion taking its toll?

This was always going to be Arsenal’s toughest test of the group stage and thus it proved to be. With the Gunners playing their eighth game of the month, the physical and mental exertions are taking their toll.

Take nothing away from PSV, they were brilliant in this one, but Arsenal were so poor. The first-teamers were bereft of intensity, while the Europa League core appeared to lack the requisite quality.
