Arsenal are back in Premier League action on Sunday against Nottingham Forest after they produced their worst performance of the season in Eindhoven in midweek.

Regarding performances, Arsenal’s 2-0 loss to PSV in the Europa League was as bad as it gets. Nothing went right, there were signs of the ‘old’ Arsenal, and they were soundly beaten.

When a performance like that happens, it is best to atone for it in your next fixture. For the Gunners, luckily, that comes just a few days later.

Still top of the Premier League, Arsenal can steady the ship somewhat after a string of sub-par performances.

Sunday is a chance to return to the winning column, but it will not be straightforward as Forest are coming off a superb 1-0 win over Liverpool.

Here are three things to look out for on Sunday.

1. Arsenal’s response

The worst performance all year. That’s what Thursday night was. Nothing went right, and the players looked exhausted.

On Sunday, a response is needed. At the Emirates, needing a win to get back on track and against a team showing signs of stability.

This is a game Arsenal simply can’t lose. Will the response be to come out and put three or four past Forest? Or will it be another tough watch from Mikel Arteta’s side?
