Arsenal signing Federico Valverde, even if they win the Premier League, is incredibly unlikely.

The Uruguayan midfielder heads into the World Cup as one of Europe’s most in-form players. Valverde has excelled in multiple functions for Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid this season and is evolving into an incredibly valuable footballer.

Back in October, Defensa Central (via FourFourTwo) reported that Arsenal scouts were taken aback by Valverde while scouting Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk – who won’t be at the World Cup.

Valverde is just superb, and I’d recommend Arsenal fans to check out the Uruguay star in Qatar. However, he will not be arriving in north London anytime soon.
