Who else is missing Mikel Arteta’s table-topping Gunners? Everybody, I thought so.

It’s been nothing short of joyous to watch Arsenal this season, but a winter World Cup means they’ll have to go again after Christmas.

Arteta has evolved his side into one of the most likeable around, with his core group of players all enjoying stellar campaigns. While we’re not at the halfway point yet, this prolonged break has given us the chance to assess Arsenal’s season so far.

Here are our 2022/23 midseason grades for every single Arsenal first-teamer.

Goalkeepers

Aaron Ramsdale – B: Just one of two players to play every single Premier League minute this season, Ramsdale has been solid without being spectacular. Boasts a joint league-high seven clean sheets.

Matt Turner – C+: After a shaky pre-season, Turner has started to turn a few heads. He wasn’t called upon much during the Europa League group stage, but he did produce an excellent display in Bodø.

Karl Hein – D: Endured a debut to forget as Arsenal crashed out of the Carabao Cup.
