Ben White – A: Right-back White has been borderline revelatory. Such a consistent figure in Arsenal’s backline with Wilfried Zaha and Luis Sinisterra being the only two wingers to cause him notable problems.

Takehiro Tomiyasu – B: White’s brilliance reduced Tomiyasu’s playing time but he performed well at left-back in October. His showing against Mohamed Salah reminded us of his defensive proficiency.

Cedric Soares – D: Has barely featured and could be on the move in January.

William Saliba – A+: Saliba might not be perfect – he isn’t shy of errors, that’s for sure – but the Frenchman has been absolutely pivotal to Arsenal’s success. He allows the Gunners to play higher up the pitch and his work in possession is usually excellent. What a player!

Gabriel – A: Gabriel came on strong ahead of the World Cup. His fetish for a brain fade is incredibly frustrating, but he’s developed a stout partnership with Saliba and has played every single minute in the Premier League thus far.

Rob Holding – C-: Utilised in his specialist shut-up shop function sparingly but was a regular in Europe. Endured a mixed group stage.

Kieran Tierney – B: Tierney will feel hard done by. The Scotsman impressed in the Europa League but has only made three league starts.

Oleksandr Zinchenko – A-: His availability takes does hinder his grade. Zinchenko’s only played seven games this season, but his impact has been distinct. He adds another layer of maturity to this Arsenal side and has further bolstered Arteta’s build-up. An incredible signing.
